We are looking for volunteers to join our team. Our aim is to set up a number of groups to help us achieve our aims. The plan is to increase biodiversity within the park using methods such as coppicing and scything.
We also want to reduce barriers to access for the whole community by organising nature walks and events throughout the year.
Come and join us on Thursday October 9th between 4.30 and 7.15pm to find out more about us and what you can do to help improve our local green space.
You will have a chance to meet some of the people who care for the park and chat about how you could get involved. Here's what's planned.
4.30 - activities for kids + a free screening of “PROJECT WILD THING - this film will change your life”
5.30 - meet the team and chat to some of the experts about their ideas
6.30 - a talk on scything and coppicing by Steve Tomlin.
Drop in any time between 4.30 and 7.15. No need to stay for the whole time. Kids welcome.
If you can’t make it that evening but would still like to be involved, contact us at [email protected]
