Lev Square Fest Volunteering Opportunities
It's that time of year again - time for our annual Lev Square street party! Get ready for a free day of fun, including mehndi stalls, street games, plant swaps, a Neighbour's Buffet, and so much more - it's always a really incredible day, so save the date. And if you have some free time on the day and would like to get involved, then find out how you can help below!
Lev Square Fest 2024: Sunday 30th June, 1:00pm - 4:00pm, Agnes Street
- Litter picking - In the days before our annual street party, Lev Square Fest, we like to hold a litter pick just to get the street nice and tidy. It's also a great time to chat with your neighbours and get to know the area! Feel free to come alone - the date for this will be announced closer to LSF24 on our Facebook page!
- Flyering - Another thing we do in the run up to LSF is send out flyers to everyone in the area to invite them along. This entails helping to distribute flyers to Levy houses, and posters to local places like Inspire. More hands definitely help us get the job done faster, but it's also a great way to get to know your neighbours! Details about the 'when's and 'where's will be found on our LSRA Facebook page closer to the event.
- Setting up and closing down - Setting up and closing down Lev Square Fest doesn't take too long, but it's a lot easier with a few extra helping hands. If you think you could help with putting up and taking down gazebos, heping to set up stalls, placing traffic cones to cordon off the street, or decorating the street then we'd appreciate the help!
- Managing a stall - If you have any free time - whether it's twenty minutes or an hour or two - having a few extra volunteers to help manage stalls is a big help, and considering everything at LSF is free there's no need to worry about managing money either! So if you fancy helping out on a specific stall, or can spare a little while to watch a stall while we grab water and stretch our legs, then please get in touch!
- Neighbours Buffet - The Neighbours Buffet will have all kinds of tasty treats to enjoy while you're enjoying the afternoon, so if you fancy then bring a dish to Lev Square Fest to share with your neighbours!
