A centre in and for the community
Levenshulme Inspire is a community-led organisation which brings together people from many backgrounds to transform our area through community activity, creativity, enterprise and fun.
Examples of groups that use volunteers are our parent led groups such as our stay and play, messy play and story time, our cookery workshops called Starting plates for families, new parents those on a tight budget and our partnerships with the taskforce which supports sessions for the elderly. All our groups are aimed at bringing together specific demographics among the community for connection, well-being and supported those vulnerable in society.
Our work radiates from the Inspire Centre, a community and business hub at the heart of Levenshulme which is open to everyone to hold meetings and organise activities and events.
Examples of regular workshops and events that use volunteers are the winter wellness hub events, Zoom led citizens advice and us being a hub for the bread and butter thing every Friday.
At the heart of this is our community café which is open four days a week which is affordable and welcome to all and uses regular volunteers.
